Jennifer Brooks

Jennifer Brooks is a singer, actor, writer, and educator from Rockland County, New York. She is a recent graduate from New York University’s Steinhardt School and holds a degree in Educational Theatre. Jennifer is a performer herself, having studied and collaborated with Patrick Wickham at Performers Career Center for almost a decade, and can be heard as the soloist on Mr. Wickham’s 2019 song cycle, Irish Drinking Songs for Sober Sopranos.  She’s performed with theater companies across Rockland County and New York, in productions such as Urinetown, Angels in America, Ragtime and She Loves Me.

 

Her love of musical theatre extends to the page—she collaborated with composer Rai Arsa Artha on Margaret: A New Musical as book writer and lyricist. A workshop production of Margaret premiered at the Jerry Orbach Theater at the Snapple Theater Center in May of 2018. Additionally, Jennifer is passionate about theatre education and has worked with students across New York City and Rockland County for many years. She served as assistant director & dramaturg with New Generation Theatre Co. in Nyack, NY, and previously served as resident director at Rockland Theatre Company in Haverstraw, New York. Jennifer is a faculty member at We Sing For The World voice studios in Westchester, NY, and is thrilled to be joining the team as a teacher at PCC.
