Piano Technique, Violin Technique
A classically trained pianist, violinist, composer and singer, Ms. Brodskaya has been performing on international concert stages and in the Moscow music scene since childhood. At age six she entered The Special Musical School for Gifted Children, affiliated with the Conservatory. An early graduate cum laude, she then entered the Conservatory of Kharkov in two departments at the same time: violin and piano. She holds a degree from the Russian Academy of Music (also graduating cum laude). She is a laureate of different international contests in Russia, Ukraine, Germany and Denmark and has performed in Germany, Denmark, and in Argentina. Recent featured local performances include Rockwood Music Hall and The Cutting Room.
In 2011 she has recorded her first album Apple-Moon that was on air on different radio stations in Europe and America. With this album she attracted attention of the audience, some well-known producers and musicians from America.
Her comprehensive philosophical approach to strict technical training is tempered with a desire to ensure lessons are always fun and enriching for each student. It is this formula that has allowed her to develop students into highly successful performers in violin, piano and songwriting.
Maria has gotten the attention and started to collaborate with the Grammy award winning composer/pianist Fernando Otero as a singer, pianist and violinist, and is currently worrking on her new project "aMBe" with producer Brian Forbes.
