Performers Career Center offers work/study opportunities for students who wish to help supplement tuition.  Positions are usually in high demand, and the administration is discerning in who it hires for them.  All applicants must demonstrate a positive attitude, high levels of motivation, organization, schedule flexibility and most importantly a strong desire to perfect their performance craft.

The following work/study positions
 are currently available:

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Description/Position Requirements:
Assists Office Administrator in daily protocol.  Tasks include, but are not limited to:  copying, scanning and filing files and sheet music, reception work, studio maintenance, restocking supplies, customer service tasks and daily errands.
Skills Required:
Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office 2007 systems (Word, Excel, Outlook), and a quick study for other online systems.  Ebuillent speaking voice and a strong vocabulary required.  Unyielding positive attitude also a requirement.
Compensation: $10-12 credit p/hour based on experience and program level.
Schedule: Should be available for one 6-9 hour shift or mulitple 4-6 hour shifts Monday-Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

MARKETING and PUBLIC RELATIONS ASSISTANT

Description/Position Requirements:
Assists Director of Marketing and Public Relations with daily and weekly tasks including, but not limited to:  flyering/postcarding, posting online advertisement, online research, updating school information listings and testimonials, watchdogging internet reviews and press, procuring student testimonials and interviews, et. al.  May assist with events.
Skills Required:
Strong sense of self-motivation and creativity (you will be working off-site), good at cold-calling, strong customer service skills, willingness to develop product familiarity, internet saavy and a strong interest in marketing.  Experience in MS Office, MS Excel, Adobe Photoshop and relevant programs.  Extreme attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and willingness to set and meet deadlines is paramount to all other skills for this position.
Compensation: $10-14 credit p/hour based on experience and program level.
Schedule: Though sporadic meetings are required, this is mainly an off-site job with excellent schedule flexibility.  However, projects will have a pre-determined timeline, projected hours, and deadline.

 















INTERNET TECHNOLOGY ASSISTANT

Description/Position Requirements:
Assists Creative Director and Director of Marketing/PR in internet-specific tasks including, but not limited to:  website maintenance, keyword/keyphrase population, updating blogs, Facebook page updates, Google calendar updates, online advertising, student website assistance, posting and maintaining videos on YouTube, posting PodCasts, testimonials, et. al.
Skills Required:
Excellent knowledge of the internet, social media marketing, widget technology, and other applicable computer and internet knowledge.  Excellent vocabulary and grammar are also prerequisites.
Compensation: $10-14 credit p/hour based on experience and program level.
Schedule: Though sporadic meetings are required, this is mainly an off-site job with excellent schedule flexibility.  However, projects will have a pre-determined timeline, projected hours, and deadline.
